Los Montañeros started as a trail running group made up of family and friends that quickly blossomed into a group that wanted to provide for others. Through the hikes we do and the runs we do, we try to provide awareness to those in need in the heart of Colombia.

Organized in the great state of West Virginia, the motto of the state is Montani Semper Liberi; which means "Mountaineers will always be free!" We took that motto and put our twist on it calling ourselves "Los Montañeros" aka "The Mountaineers".

Not only do we provide awareness by the message we symbolize and live out in our daily activities, we also work to provide for the country of Colombia in a number of different ways. We partner with other charity organizations to provide for those in need by providing clothes, funding, and other resources that grow on a frequent basis which you can read about and participate in on our "Get Involved" page above.
